Terms of service.

These terms are a contract between you and lazer.sh covering the registry, the panel, the API, and the website. Creating an account or pushing an image means you accept them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you are allowed to bind it, and "you" means that company.

You must be at least 16 and not barred from using the service under sanctions or export control law.

We target 99.9% monthly availability for image pulls. That is a target we design and operate against, not a contractual guarantee, and it does not come with service credits. We publish incidents and maintenance on the status page.

If availability matters enough to you to need it written down as a commitment, email [email protected] and we will talk about it.

Features may still change. We will give at least 30 days' notice before removing or materially changing something you depend on, and we will never delete your images without warning.

• You are responsible for everything done with your credentials, including API keys you issue to CI systems and to other people.
• Scope keys as narrowly as the job allows and revoke them when the job ends. The panel shows every key, its scope, and its expiry.
• Tell us at [email protected] as soon as you suspect a credential has leaked. We will help you rotate it.
• One human per account. Share access to a project by inviting members, not by sharing a login.

Your images, manifests, tags, and metadata remain yours. We claim no ownership. You grant us only the licence we need to run the service — to store your content, replicate it, cache it at edge locations, and serve it to the people you have authorised.

You are responsible for what you push, including having the right to distribute it and complying with the licences of anything you bundle into a layer. We do not inspect the contents of your images except where we are legally required to or where we are investigating a specific abuse report.

Do not use lazer.sh to:

• Store or distribute malware, botnet infrastructure, phishing kits, or credential harvesters. Security research artefacts are fine in a private repository; distributing working malware is not.
• Store material that is illegal to possess or distribute in the United Kingdom.
• Infringe someone else's copyright, trademark, or trade secret.
• Use the registry as general file hosting, a CDN for non-container assets, or a backup target. It is a container registry.
• Circumvent quotas or rate limits, or create accounts to obtain repeated free-tier allowances.
• Attack or probe the service, other tenants, or third parties. Good-faith security research is welcome — email [email protected] first and we will not pursue you for it.

If we have to act on a violation we will suspend the narrowest thing that stops it — usually a single repository — and tell you why. We reserve immediate suspension of an account for cases where waiting would cause harm.

A plan grants a pool of storage and a number of projects. You divide the pool between projects however you like. Storage is measured on compressed layer bytes, deduplicated within each project, and includes untagged manifests that are still retained — the panel shows you both numbers.

Pulls are unmetered and unlimited on every plan, including free, and we do not charge egress. Unmetered means we do not bill for it; it does not mean unrated. We may apply rate limits to protect the platform, and if a single account's pull traffic is materially disproportionate we will contact you to agree a fair arrangement before taking any action.

Exceeding your storage pool blocks new pushes. Pulls keep working. Delete images or raise your plan to clear it.

• Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through our merchant of record, who handles payment, invoicing, and applicable tax. Their terms govern the payment transaction itself.
• Prices are shown on the pricing page in USD and exclude tax where tax is added at checkout.
• Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current period, and you must be within the lower plan's limits first.
• Cancel at any time in the panel. You keep the plan until the end of the period you have paid for. We do not pro-rate refunds for a partial month.
• If a payment fails you enter a grace period of seven days, during which everything keeps working and we email you. After that, pushes are blocked and projects are suspended until payment succeeds. Pulls continue to work throughout.
• We will give at least 30 days' notice by email before a price increase applies to you.

You can close your account at any time. We can terminate for a material breach of these terms, for non-payment past the grace period, or on 30 days' notice if we discontinue the service.

After termination your content stays retrievable for 30 days so you can pull it elsewhere. After that we delete it, and deletion is permanent. If we terminate for abuse we may remove the offending content immediately, and will still give you access to the rest where it is safe to do so.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue, or data. Our total liability in any twelve-month period is capped at the greater of the fees you paid us in that period or one hundred US dollars.

Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

You will defend and indemnify us against third-party claims arising from your content or from your use of the service in breach of these terms. We will tell you promptly about any such claim and let you control the defence, provided any settlement releases us fully.

We may update these terms. For material changes we will email account holders at least 30 days before they take effect. If you do not accept them, close your account before that date and we will refund any unused prepaid period.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of your country of residence.

If any provision is unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Failing to enforce a term is not a waiver of it.
